What it does

Omega-3s are the good fats your brain and heart are partly built from. EPA helps calm everyday inflammation, while DHA is a major structural fat in the brain and eyes. Most modern diets are heavy on other fats and light on these, unless you eat oily fish a few times a week, which is why a quality fish or algae oil is one of the most universally useful supplements.
